Alex Athanassoulas is the President and CEO of STIRIXIS Group, the globally awarded Design Consultancy firm, and the President of the Sustainable Building Council of Greece, the Greek Chapter of World GBC. He holds a Master’s in Civil Engineering (MCivEng) from Aristotelian University of Greece and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with distinction, from the Adam Smith Business School of Glasgow University in Great Britain. He has been certified in Project management from both IPMA and Prince2, certified in Strategy and Innovation from the International Customer Service Association (ICSA) and in Board Practice and Directorship from CEO Clubs School of Leadership. He is an eminent public speaker about Trends and Strategic Foresign, Systems Thinking and Investment Design. Alex is a founding member of both the Greek and the Romanian Chapter of CEO Clubs International, currently the Vice President of CEO Clubs Greece. He is also Secretary General of the Board of the Greek Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Technology, the President of the Hellenic Alumni Association of the University of Glasgow.

Alex was recognized as the Best European CEO in Retail Development from European CEO Awards in 2015 and as the Best European CEO in 2018 from Al Global Excellence Awards. In 2019, recognized as an "International Game-changer" by the ACQS Awards (UK), in 2023 named one of the "Most Inspiring Business Leaders to Follow in 2023" by The Inc Magazine, and finally, in 2024, was recognized for his Postgraduate Leadership Award by the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards 2024.
