Mr. Pahiyiannakis is Acquisition Senior Director for Sani/Ikos Group and responsible for new resort acquisitions other real estate investment activities, including permitting and asset management, in Greece. The Sani/Ikos Group is an innovative and fast-growing group of luxury resorts in unique beachfront locations in the Mediterranean. Under the brand names Sani Resort and Ikos Resorts, the Group develops, owns and operates over 3,450 rooms and suites spread across 12 unique resorts in Greece and Spain, all ranked amongst the best luxury resorts in the world. The Group has secured additional projects of almost 2,250 rooms, suites and villas for further expansion of the Ikos brand in Greece (Crete and Halkidiki), Spain (Marbella) and Portugal (Algarve), with launches planned between 2026 and 2029 while new destinations are being added in the pipeline. He joined the group in November 2018. Prior to joining Sani/Ikos Group, Mr. Pahiyiannakis spent five years as a Director with Barings in their dedicated Hotel Group in the US and London. There, he was responsible for hotel acquisitions across Europe, as well as for supporting the Barings Financing groups, underwriting hospitality-related loans and overseeing investments totaling over $3.5b. Prior to joining Barings in 2013, he acted as a Business Development and Acquisitions Analyst for Pyramid Hotel Group in Boston. There he was actively engaged with all Business Development efforts and assisted with adding and retaining over 20 management contracts to a portfolio of approximately 50 hotels. Mr. Pahiyiannakis, born and raised in Thessaloniki, earned a BS from Boston University with a double major in Economics and Hospitality Administration.
